UMB Bank Trust Advisor II in Leawood, Kansas

As the Trust Advisor II , you will build long-term client relationships through quality customer service, including anticipating client needs, clear communication, effective client meetings and meeting client service level standards. You will provide proper fiduciary administration for all aspects of assigned accounts, including probate estates, conservatorships, personal trusts (inter vivos and testamentary), custody, agency, IRA, and other assigned accounts, handling complex situations. This role is hybrid (Tues/Wed/Thur on-site). Travel may be required in assigned territory.

How you’ll spend your time:

  • You will work with team members to increase revenue from assigned book of accounts through quality client service, leading to referrals for new business, upgrades in account status, direct sales and referrals for other bank products and services.

  • You will provide solution-oriented planning for clients and coordination of wealth strategy planning goals and objectives.

  • When appropriate, for accounts without an assigned Portfolio Manager, you will provide investment management services for clients, including assessment of the appropriate risk level for the client or trust, high level investment updates and portfolio advice.

  • You will maintain current knowledge of UMB policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Other duties as assigned.

We’re excited to talk to you if:

  • You possess a bachelor’s degree.

  • You have 3-5 years’ demonstrated applicable experience or Juris Doctorate.

  • You have basic investment knowledge such as understanding risk, diversification and asset allocation.

  • You have general knowledge of Trust and Bank products and services (i.e., investments, insurance, brokerage, private banking, retirement planning).

  • You can handle problem solving, dispute resolution and assistance with litigation management.

  • You have current knowledge of company policies and procedures, state and federal laws and regulations.

  • You have working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)

  • You are proficient with trust management and client management systems.

  • You demonstrate interpersonal skills with an ability to develop and cultivate internal and external relationships.

Bonus points if:

  • You possess an advanced degree relative to financial & estate planning.

  • You have prior sales experience.

  • You have a Juris doctorate.

  • You hold a CTFA or CFP certification.

  • You are active in community and professional organizations.

  • You demonstrate self-confidence and an ability to work well with highly capable and successful individuals in a team environment.

  • You possess exceptional organizational and management skills.

Compensation Range:

Minimum: $69,230.00 - Maximum: $179,300.00
