UMB Bank Systems Engineer II - SOA in Kansas City, Missouri
What You'll Do:
Work closely with all levels of MIS to coordinate the service support and delivery of middleware technologies with application development, server, database, information security, and network teams for UMB infrastructure.
Ensure availability, reliability, and performance of Service Oriented Application infrastructure
Coordinate, escalate, resolve, and close any service request, incident, problem, and change management issues assigned to SOA team
Assist and/or champion the triage and troubleshooting of production and non-production middleware/SOA technologies
Provide coordination of any project tasks, toll gates, and milestones
Perform patching, software implementations, and upgrades to middleware/SOA technologies
Partner and interact with technology vendors in support of the UMB environment
May be required to work varied schedules, including on-call responsibilities. Must be available via cell-phone as an escalation point 24x7 for all Priority 1 or 2 related Distributed Systems issues.

In this Role, You will Need:
Demonstrates general knowledge of Internet fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, SSL, HTTP)
Demonstrates general UNIX and Windows administration skills
Demonstrates ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Demonstrates ability to effectively manage multiple projects and incidents simultaneously
Demonstrates good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to interact with all business areas and skill levels regarding technical issues
Demonstrates ability to function effectively within a team oriented environment
Specialty Area ¿ Service Oriented Architecture Infrastructure (SOA):
- Knowledge of one or more SOA technologies (MQ, DataPower, IIB and BPM)
Specialty Area - Web:
- Knowledge of Apache, IBM HTTPS Server (HIS) & AppServer (WebSphere/Weblogic) technologies
Specialty Area - UNIX Server:
- Knowledge and proficiency with RHEL and/or AIX administration
Specialty Area - Tools:
- Knowledge and proficiency with Monitoring tools (Tivoli, BMC, etc¿)

Who You Are:
-Bachelor's Degree & three (3) years experience in a technical role supporting n-Tier app infrastructure OR five (5) years experience in a technical role supporting n-Tier app infrastructure
