UMB Bank Community Development Program Manager in Kansas City, Missouri

The Consumer Community Development Program Manager will be responsible for the development and enablement of Community Development initiatives across the Consumer Retail Banking network. The community development program is driven by an innovative and inclusive community development strategy that enables bankers across UMB’s retail footprint to deliver on program initiatives and fulfillment objectives. This role works closely the Director of Retail Banking, product, marketing, corporate compliance, and other internal and external stakeholders to ensure the community development banking strategy reaches underserved and low-to-moderate income individuals and communities. The Consumer Community Development Program Manager will also be responsible for identifying product and service gaps and barriers to ensure the program offers TUCE ( the Unparalleled Customer Experience) for all individuals and communities.

How you will spend your time:

• You will develop a clear vision for a consumer community development program which enables our bankers to drive business, community engagement, innovation, and responsive activities to underserved and untapped markets.

• You will develop short-term and long-term strategies that support the overarching program objectives

• You will provide Community Development content, education, and production goals to bankers who produce outcomes related to the program objectives

• You will foster and maintain partnerships with first-time homebuyer programs, credit counseling agencies, ESOs (Entrepreneurial Support Organizations) and other community partners who can support existing and potential clients

• You will establish and maintain relationships with community organizations including but not limited to community groups, minority business groups, non-profit, and community agencies

• You will build and maintain strong working relationships across the bank including the regional leadership teams

• You will identify and coordinate the referral of potential business opportunities to other areas of the bank

• You will lead the discussions and recommendations for enhanced policies that align with the program and bank’s objectives for financial inclusion

• You will work closely with marketing and communications to ensure inclusive marketing efforts and communication plans are appropriately applied

• You will oversee the implementation of a Community Needs Assessment and market summaries

• You will identify other banking and credit needs within the community, and assesses the company’s ability to meet those needs

• You will monitor and recommend other changes and improvements for other banking programs to better serve community needs

• Other duties as assigned

• You have 8-10 years of community development experience

• You have bank management experience

• You have experience working with cross-functional teams within a large organization

• You have experience with program development and management

• You have strong communication and analytical skills

Compensation Range:

Minimum: $83,200.00 - Maximum: $214,560.00
